It is!!! It's a watermelon. . . in the buck pen!
That's right! The bucks and Myrtle the donkey have become gardeners. They had chilled watermelon for a treat this past summer, and I guess they enjoyed it so much they decided to grow their own. The watermelon seed I planted this year, by the way, never produced a single melon. Maybe I need to start taking tips from them ;)

ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it? There's another vine growing a few yards from that one, but no watermelons on it, yet.
DeleteIf they are in the mood to plant more, you could rent them out to help plant watermelons for other peoples, too!
DeleteThat would be a great way to make an extra buck lol. But I may just have to put them to work next yr & get them to grow me a garden full of melons :). Yesterday, we finally cut it open for them and they loved it. I guess nothing's tastier than something grown with your own two hoofs.
