Congrats EHS!

My alma mater, Elba High School, won the Class 2A State Football Championship today. The EHS Tigers defeated the Tanner High School Rattlers with a score of 34-14. Both teams went into the game with a perfect season record of 14-0. This is Elba's third time as state champions, the other two times were in 1989 and 1992. The Tigers also joined our state's 500 Win Club this season, becoming the 35th school in the state to have won at least 500 games.

One of our school's more popular expressions when I was a teenager was "Elba is able!". Today's win definitely proves that to be true.
