Spicy Creole Burgers

Of course, it being the Fourth yesterday, we just had to grill out. Not having tasted any really, really good food for the past few months because of the diet I've been on, I wanted a juicy hamburger for the celebration meal I'm allowed to have now. And, let me tell you, it was worth all those days and days of eating no salt, no carbs, no sugar, etc.

Spicy Creole Burger with spinach and strawberry salad,
grilled zucchini, and grilled sausage. . . So delicious.
Now, bear with me because if you remember I'm not the griller in our family. Inside cooking and baking, yes. Grilling, no.

Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
1 Tbsp Creole seasoning
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Black pepper, to taste
Monterrey Jack cheese, slices
Hamburger Buns, toasted

Creole Mayonnaise:
1/2 c Mayonnaise
1 tsp creole seasoning

1) In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise and creole seasoning, then set aside.

2) Combine the ground beef, diced jalapeno, Creole seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Shape into hamburger patties (about five or six, I think).

3) Cook the hamburger patties on the grill. Just before they're done place a slice of cheese on top of each. Then assemble the burgers using the creole mayonnaise.
