In My Mom, I mentioned that my mother's birthday present had finally made it into the world a few weeks earlier. Well, today we finally picked up little Sammy, a Miniature Nubian buckling.

My mom has been wanting to add Nubians to our farm for so long, and when she discovered the miniaturized version of them, she fell in love (and I did, too. . . of course :) ).

Sammy enters our lives at the perfect time, and I'm sure Milo will love having a playmate close to his size (and one that's similarly spoiled ;) ). But for now, until he's a little older little Sammy is staying in with us. I've had such a good time today tending to a little baby goat again.

Sammy even helped me start a few more seeds.

After that, we walked around in the yard checking everything out.

And I'm very much looking forward to giving him his nighttime bottle.
